I was not prepared for sad nuggie to see me in so many ways. A great book for those who are suffering from or want to understand adults with anxiety and depression.

It's cutesy so it doesn't get too heavy which is nice, even in the moments when you can feel nuggie headed for a breakdown.

Side note: nuggie eats a lot of chicken, is nuggie a cannibal? The world will have to decide.

I received a NetGalley ARC.

Sad Nuggie is a collection of funny comics all about a sad, little chicken nugget who is forced to engage in adulting.

I picked this up because I have a friend who absolutely adores Sad Nuggie. And now I can see why she does! A lot of these stories are quite relatable, even moreso when you are in a job you don't enjoy, are struggling with your work-life balance or struggle with anxiety. Most of these aren't quite relevant to me, so I might not relate to this work as much as others, but I still had a good time following along with this adorable main character trying their absolute best to survive and maybe even thrive.

This is a quick and funny read, and will go over well with fans of Sad Nuggie, or other short comics about everyday life's victories and struggles.

Thank you Sad Nuggie, Anastasia Sevastyanova and Andrews McMeel Publishing for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

When I tell you that I identified strongly with this little nugget, I am not joking.

This is a very cute and very relatable little comic. If you are an anxious and introverted person I think you will find this very relatable. If not, well then at least it has the self-degrading humor that some find funny.

The art is simple and works well, I did find the constant tears on our little nugget to be a little ... Unnecessary? But that is a very minor nitpick.

Overall, this is a very cute and simple comic. A nice little snack of a book.
I am giving this 3 stars, it was cute but nothing really special.

Sad Nuggie:  Life is Sweet and Sour is an almost wordless comic about a tearie-eyed nugget battling modern life.

I never thought a chicken nugget could be so relatable!  Sad Nuggie deals with the topics of anxiety, depression, overwhelm, loneliness, and the minutia of life in an adorable comic format.  From the opening pages, moving into his little nuggie home (box?)  to the mishaps of peopling and therapy, and so on.

The illustrations are adorable, and the situations utterly relatable.

A very relevant section of comics about adulthood, anxiety, and depression. I have enjoyed and related to the Sad Nuggie comics for a while and I enjoyed this book.

Who knew a chunk of breaded chicken could be so relatable. Wonderfully illustrated and very cute, perhaps not fully my sense of humour but enjoyable nonetheless.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

this was such a cute and fun read! i was not expecting to relate to it so much but wow sad nuggie is literally me sometimes. although this was a really quick and easy read, it was also comforting and had valuable life lessons. also, i really liked the art style, it was just so cute! i would definitely recommend reading this!

This is a very simple, almost picture-book-style story, and I gave it 4 stars because I liked it. I am a simple girl. If it makes me smile and gives me a little joy, that is enough for me.

The story is sweet, cute, and funny. It is light and easy to read, but that does not mean it lacks meaning. If you take a moment to read between the lines, you will find little fragments of reality and moments that feel deeply relatable. It is the kind of book that makes you go “awww” one moment and then feel a little tug at your heart the next.

Do not worry, sad nugget. You have my heart 💛

Adorable collection of Sad Nuggie stories. Very relatable struggles of a Nuggie who's always on the verge of tears - just trying to make it as a strong, healthy, happy, independent Nugget. Peace, Love, & Sad Nuggies.
