This was my cigarette break book during a remodel. My puppy ate the book when I was nearly done and to be honest, I did not mind outside of the fact that I would no longer have Sedaris' entire library.
This book is about his quitting of vices. I hate to say it but I preferred his writing when he was a chain smoking, stoned drunk.

Alright, David Sedaris is my soulmate. This book made me actually laugh out loud, to the consternation of my flatmates/fellow tube passengers/neighbours. I will be reading all of his other things too.

Second time reading this book. It started out pretty lame and I was worried it wasn't all I remembered, but then I was struck with utter hilarity about three chapters in. I haven't laughed out loud while reading in quite a while and it was very satisfying to get an unelicited chuckle out of my core. Very much worth the read, the re-read, the re-re-read, etc.

Enjoyable light read--I felt like overall the stories were pretty even and walked the line between uncomfortable and amusing that Sedaris excels at.

I read the book will waiting for David to do his book reading at the B&N in New York. It brought back the same joy and excitement that I experienced with Me Talk Pretty. A truly funny book, and as with all great comedy it is built on a crumbling foundation of insecurity.

Read this on a flight from SFO to Pittsburgh. Couldn't put it down. It's my first Sedaris book and I am HOOKED! LOVED IT! Laugh out loud funny.... you know those things you are thinking but don't say them out loud? Well, Sedaris not only writes it down but he publishes it for you to enjoy.
