At first I had a hard time focusing on this text but as I got further it got more approachable and it was easier to connect the academic writing and the reality on the ground. By the end, I was highlighting every other sentence.

I feel like everyone should read this book, or at least the original BDS calls for boycott. We should all be joining this call, doing whatever we can to end the war on Palestinians and the occupation. The boycott, divestment and sanctions approach is a great nonviolent way to make a difference.

This book offers great examples of how different organisations and countries have applied the BDS principles. And it very clearly and accurately explains why BDS is the way to and succinctly dismantles the popular objections to the cause. And there’s a sh*t ton of notes and cited sources to find more info on BDS and the cruel actions of the State of Israel.

Extremely important. Easily slaps away the infantile criticisms of the BDS movement and contextualizes why it's so important to hold apartheid states like Israel accountable for their monstrous actions. The writing is repetitive as the book is largely a collection of interviews, speeches, etc. so there's some skimmable parts, but it's highly worth your time.

Essential and relevant reading, especially today, for those who have their hands tied on what to do about the current PERSISTING situation, but still want, no, NEED to do something.

Educate yourself first, then take action. BOYCOTT, DIVEST, AND SANCTION.

The book explores the global movement advocating for Palestinian rights through boycotts, divestment, and sanctions. It discusses the objectives, strategies, and impact of these actions in raising awareness and addressing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. If you're interested in the topic, I recommend reading the book to gain a deeper understanding of the arguments and perspectives presented.

This gave me much-needed insight into the BDS campaign, its asks, and it's history. I learned more horrific details about Israel's rule over Palestine. Just when I think my anger is at its peak, I'm shown some new fact that pushes my fury even further.
