at the beginning of the book felt like i already knew the first half of the story (thanx to the movie #AngelaB)...as it continued it got interesting an i have to admit it truly was a luv story...glad she got her happy ending

I love Tina Turner, but this was a bit too obviously ghost written for me.

I have owned this book for several years and never got around to reading it until news of Tina’s passing inspired me to pick it up. 
Tina was an amazing, strong and talented woman. I knew of her early story, much of which she revisits in the first half of My Love Story but learned much more about the Tina Turner that I listened to and watched in the 80’s and 90’s. Told with insight, precision and detail, I was a bit surprised about the emotional disconnect of the narrative. I was anticipating more though fully acknowledge that Tina owes the world nothing more than what she freely gave of herself throughout her life. I definitely recommend reading My Love Story as a tribute to and in memory of a remarkable woman and her amazing story.
