I have always thought Tina Turner's story was inspiring. This simply solidified for me that she is an unbreakable spirit and a beautiful person who has met life head-on. She and her husband, Erwin, are the kind of relationship goals we all could aspire to. Thank you, Tina, for offering us a glimpse into your world

I really enjoyed this read. I believe this is the second or third memoir Ms. Turner has written with co-writers. This one deals with her life up until 2018. It also includes a bit about Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, which I saw on tour with friends and family recently.
This lady is a strong woman with a mischievous streak and a wonderful sense of humor. The story feels like you are sitting with her and listening to her tell you her story.
The passages about her and the late, great David Bowie made me smile and made me sad as she discussed their final visit with one another.
I also didn’t realize how far back she went with Mick Jagger, but I need to rewatch their performance at Live Aid after reading about those moments.
I found out lots of things I did not know because Ms. Turner is a private person. I think living abroad has afforded her that deeply desired privacy, and that makes me very happy for her and her dear husband.

There are certain celebrities that people feel a kinship to and Tina Turner is one of those for me. I love her sense of style, the way she expresses herself in interviews (that voice!) and her life philosophy. She has also opened my mind to Buddhism, chanting and spiritual issues. Of course, I loved this book. Written in a flowing, conversational style, it is like she is in the room talking to you. I had read her biography "I, Tina" that was published in 1986 and this book also covers her years with Ike Turner. She also talks about her difficult relationship with her mother, her children and her husband Erwin Bach. The book is filled with great stories about her career and nice anecdotes about Cher, Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Rod Stewart and more big names that she shared the stage with. The later chapters deal with the life threatening health problems she has experienced during the previous years. She concludes with brief chapters about the musical about her life and the suicide of her son Craig.

I did like this book, she has led an interesting life and it was a good read. I wish I had the physical book to be able to see the pictures better.
