I think I will put this on my list of all time favorite books. I read this so slowly because I didn’t want it to end. I felt such a kinship with her over loving our vibrant backyards. Amazing writing and story telling.

Reading this felt like meditation. Author threw in a lot of bird jargon in there that I didn't care to understand, but the tidbits connecting nature with life resonated. If touching grass were a book!

I wanted to like this book. It was well-written, and moved too slowly for my interest. I listened it, so did not have access to the illustrations so many readers referenced.
