Uuuhhh!! This was such an energising book! Lucy was such an unforgettable and unique protagonist—so sarcastic and funny. I loved the setting and how the murder mystery played out and everything came together!! What a GOOD thriller! 🤯
adventurous dark mysterious tense

“Listen for the Lie” is a gripping psychological thriller that keeps you guessing. The story follows Lucy, an amnesiac piecing together her past after being accused of murder. The pacing is sharp, with twists that hit hard, and the unreliable narrator adds delicious tension. The audiobook narration is stellar, enhancing the suspense. My only gripe is the slightly rushed ending, which left a few threads dangling. Still, a solid, engaging read!

Really enjoyed this one!! Would’ve been 4 stars if it didn’t have a completely unnecessary romance subplot that made no real sense. Could’ve cut that out :/ otherwise fast paced and I give it a thumbs up 👍

A fun, twisty, wild mystery whodunit murder romp. I highly suggest listening to the audiobook for just the right touch of sarcasm and wit.

What a rush of a story. Genuinely did not know how it would unfold or what the truth truly was the whole time. Kept me on the edge of my seat and I could absolutely hear the podcast as I was reading the transcripts.

The formatting of texts in the kindle edition I read was funky. Sometimes in small italics, sometimes in the regular body style like it was prose. I’m not sure if it’s more consistent in the printed copies, but I had an easy enough time following, so not a huge issue

I enjoyed this, but I'm not sure it was good. I felt like we, the reader, were led to water and asked to drink (i.e., a new suspect was introduced and we were encouraged to buy-in) so many different times, but not in different ways. The way the audiobook treated the podcast was great. I hated 90% of the choices our main character made. And none of the characters were at all sympathetic, except the grandma.
