this was a perfectly fine thriller in itself but i picked it up mostly bc it was sooo hyped on social media and i felt very underwhelmed at the end. like yeah it's a good book but what is all the hype about??

it's fast paced and easy to read, the mystery was good although the reveal kinda did nothing for me. after finishing the book i was just like ??? that's it ??

definitely worth picking up but i think i would've enjoyed it more if my expectations hadn't been so high

I almost stopped reading this book a few chapters in because the writing style just felt a bit young for the topic. I didn't realize till after that this was the author's adult debut.

I will say that this author does dialogue well, which a lot of people struggle with. I enjoyed the conversations and the podcast format.

The twists aren't super surprising, and tighter editing would have helped. But Lucy was pretty entertaining, and I appreciate the focus on the fact that men have to say it for anyone to believe it, as well as the commentary on "the perfect victim." It was just a little heavy handed.

mysterious fast-paced

A literally impossible to put down read. I kept sneaking in pages throughout the day because I needed to just DEVOUR this story.
So good! I loved the sarcasm, the podcast element, and I loved that it genuinely made me laugh at loud (maybe that was the delirium from getting no sleep due to my need to read every word at 3 AM) lol.

This would be a really good book for a book club - I wanted to talk about it with anyone who had already read it as soon as I was done!
