Wow, this read was magical, and I don't even mean it in the literal sense. This book was steeped in enchantment, the world the author created was hard to turn away from. The writing alone instilled a sense of wonder, rather than being a fairy tale retelling, it very much just felt like a fairy tale in itself. Even though this read was a fantasy, the feelings were real. The heartbreak I felt for Mina was never-ending and completely relatable, it would be a challenge not to route for her. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking to get lost in a different world.

It has a kind of dark fairy-tale vibe to it with elements simmilar to Carmilla, Beauty and the Beast and Sleeping Beauty. I love the saphic representation but it was a little slow and repetitive. Overall a time worth read.
