Not quite sure where this is headed (and there are way too many characters to remember), but I am intrigued.
Artwork is soooo nice! Nice set up for the future volumes!
This first volume was just enough to get me interested in the world. The short plot concept on the back is both a good hook but sufficiently vague and I learned quickly that a lot is withheld from the reader! The characters and the god incarnations are also confused though, being thrust into the world every 90 years. Reader confusion reflects character confusion giving a very incomplete view and bringing up a lot of questions.
I need to read up on some mythology since this story taps names I am not familiar with. Really it only whets your appetite and I am really glad I kept reading and I am glad there are supposed to be many more volumes. It's a unique world with good character variety.
Laura is actually a little angsty for me but I feel like she will grow on me.

Beautifully illustrated, fascinating premise. What kind of power can fame give someone?

I've had this graphic novel series on my radar for months now and I'm so excited I finally got to dive in. I can't wait to continue on with the series. I love the art style and concept. I can't wait to continue on with the series.
I really wanted to like this. It’s got a lot of things that I love like mythology and beautiful art. But I was disappointed. It’s really confusing and not all that interesting until the very last chapter. But because of the theme and that last chapter I’ll still probably read volume two.
