Jo Nesbo is an amazing author. His metaphors and analogies are beyond compare. Aside from that, this book is sinister to the core. Nesbo does NOT hold back, so if you are someone who loves crime novels, this is for you!

It’s mysterious, a good twist, sexy at times, the main character is awesome, creepy vibes as well
The Snowman is the Scandinavian crime thriller genre at its finest. Comes close to Stieg Larsson's Lisbeth Salander novels in it's ability to grab you early and not let go until a conclusion that truly made my toes curl and heart beat from so much stress. Cannot wait to read the rest of the series.
The Snowman is my kind of thriller. With the distinctive depressing air that is often seen in Scandinavian thriller, this book gives out just the right amount of creeps. The mystery is nothing that hasn't been done before, but it is done so well, that it stands out from the rest of its peers.
I really didn't see it coming. This book kept me on the edge of my seats the whole time. The character study is amazing with one hell of a plot. This book is just so satisfying. You know that the mystery is gonna be solved, but you don't know whether everyone will make it or not. Harry Hole is brilliant without being obnoxious. He's the kind the genius that the author doesn't have to remind you in every other line that he's genius. With the remarkable storytelling and characters, this book just became the best thriller I've read this year.

cannot keep track of these norwegian names and there is too much woman-objectifying and woman-killing than i’m comfortable digesting, especially from a male author.

A little too typical. A little too needlessly woman- hating. Actually, I kinda feel like both the men in the book and the man who wrote the book have a bit of a hard time seeing women as people. Meh, what's do e is done.
Listened to this as an audiobook to expand my horizons. This is not the kind of book I would typically pick up, and I almost turned it off the first 15 minutes of listening to it (it starts out a little graphic, and while I don't mind reading it, listening to it on my commute can be different). Once I settled into the mood of the novel, though, it got better. The story was great, the main character is interesting. I want to read the rest in the series, and will likely start from the beginning.
