Fun! It dragged a bit right when the action was heating up but that's ok.

I loved this book I kept changing my mind who "The Snowman" was

Fantastic read. I could not put this book down until I had finished it.

Norwegian author, Jo Nesbø, creates ice-cold snowmen in the outskirts of Oslo as the signature left by a calculating serial killer. A flawed police detective, Harry Hole, whose had a penchant for alcohol, takes the search for this psycho personally after receiving what looks like a taunting letter from the snowman builder. Harry Hole is a very compelling character.

In the meantime, there's a mysterious man, wearing glasses with thick lenses, who invites himself to clean out Holes' apartment of mould. Could it be him that's abducting unsuspecting women, or just one of many well-thought out characters that makes Nesbø's writing so interesting.

There are several viable suspects whose lives intersect. The story was gripping from the first pages. Jo Nesbo kept me guessing until the very end. I enjoyed the challenge. The book encourage me to do a little research on Norway. I did have to flip back and forth a few times until I got the timeline straight. The plot whips back and forth between the past and present at first, which I think was done a touch clumsily, so I thought I couldn't give this novel the five stars it might deserve.

It really sucked me in. Good plot, decent writing.

A pesar de no haber leído los libros anteriores he podido comprender muy bien la historia. Me ha gustado mucho, aunque no tanto como pensaba. Harry Hole es el detective por excelencia y eso se refleja en este libro.

I did enjoy this book and it drew me in, but I didn't like it as much as some of his others. it got somewhat confusing and the end was a bit much. 3 1/2 stars.
