Wow is all I can say - this book is intense! It was an intense thriller and it kept you guessing the whole time! You think you know who the killer is and then, boom another twist or turn! This was also scary and I few nights I regretted reading it right before bed, but I could not put it down! I really liked this! I didn't know that there was a whole series of Harry Hole books, but now I clearly have more books on my list to read!

Another incredible entry from Jo Nesbo. Inspector Hole, you amazingly intelligent, fucked up soul. It's so easy to love you and yet you make it so much harder than you need to. Like all of them, this one kept me guessing until the last few chapters. There were a few obvious red herrings early on that I thought would make this one a clunker but in the end they actually wove some interesting subplots into the novel. Sit down, read, and enjoy!

“What is worse? Taking the life of a person who wants to live or taking death from a person who wants to die.”

This is the 7th book in the 'Harry Hole'-series. This is the first one I'm reading, so it's possible to start wherever you want it seems. The book is about police inspector Harry Hole, who investigates a number of disappearances and murders in Norway, and which he suspects is the work of a serial killer.

The book met my requirments for a decent thriller. It had me guessing a lot, there were interesting characters, and a suspenseful build-up.

The snowman totally creeped me out at times because it was snowing at the same time here in Denmark, and I saw snowmen around. Nesbø had a good and easy writing. I felt the snowman look into my eyes and stare at me, and at the same time, it was thorough on detail but a quick read.

I liked the mystery and thriller in the book, and we had some scenes that were quite graphic, but other than that I didn’t find it too dark.

A downside of this book was that it had many mysogynist comments, which annoyed me a lot, and it was also a bit predictable in some areas.

This was my first book by Jo Nesbø, and it won't be the last.

It was recommended to me by hubby, and I enjoyed it. But I've been told I need to stay away from the movie, although I like Michael Fassbender :(

“Did you know that darkness has a taste?”

Definitely a page-turner - this is one of the first thrillers I've read that is somewhat on par in most ways with Steig Larsson (but of course, still not as good).

This was good! Went in with low expectations but found myself caught up in an action packed thriller! The murders were grim and the plot was unpredictable. I would definitely read more by Jo Nesbo.

I only dabble in this genre, but I really enjoyed this one. I'll definitely read more of the Harry Hole books.

this book is dark but the mystery aspect was done really well -- a well crafted mystery. this is what i mean when i say i like mystery and thriller books! it's unfortunate that the movie flopped bc this book is spectacular

I don't normally read thrillers, but I picked this up and finished it within 24 hours.
