4 stars | It was so nice to see these characters again! I don't know if I don't remember because it's been ages since I last read a Rizzoli and Isles mystery, but Maura wasn't as much part of this book?? I would've liked more scenes between her and Jane (LOL - it's never enough). and my brain had blessedly forgotten that Jane is actually MARRIED to Gabriel Dean in the books. URGH. Oh well. The investigation was pretty intriguing and kept me guessing who the killer was til the end. I can't believe there's only one more book in this series. I hope the whole thing with Maura's birth mother will be wrapped up and Maura can finally move on.

Solid 4.5 stars. Lots of twists and turns. I love a good Rizzoli & Isles book, though I've been watching the TV show more than reading the books lately, and there are a few discrepancies between the two. It took a while to figure out how the situation in Botswana related to the situations in the U.S., but it made sense eventually. Good book.

3.5⭐️

I've not read all of Tess Gerritsen's Rizzoli and Isles but Die Again was a reminder that I need to do so. Quite gory at times, you really don't want to eat at the same time, but there is plenty of drama also. I preferred the sections of the book that were set in Botswana, these for me were more interesting. There are some references to events that happened in the previous novels but this didn't stop me enjoying the read. I do prefer though to read books in order.
I plan on reading the books I have missed in the near future.

Gerritsen knows how to write a good crime/thriller. Rizzoli and Isles are back again on the hunt for another killer in Boston. The story flicks back and forth between present day Boston and their investigation and current murder, and six ago on an African Safari that all went to hell. The characters are believe and intriguing and I love the way things slowly tie together. I had a hunch about who might be the killer they were after and whether or not it was the man we were led to believe, and I also had no idea about the real truth of some of the case facts and how they turned out. Surprises at every turn, this one will keep you hooked until the end. Another awesome Rizzoli and Isles book. Would definitely recommend for those who love to read crime fiction and for fans of Tess Gerritsens previous novels.

Thank you to the publisher and Goodreads for letting me read this book early!

I am going to give this a 5, only because a 4 is too low. They really need to let us do 1/2 stars! This book was fantastic. I would say that it is one of her best in the series. I still like The Surgeon and The Apprentice more, but this is really close to those two on my list of books to read. The killer who I thought it was, and yet, it wasn't who I thought it was. That will only make sense if you read the book!
