Despite the OTT soap opera-like drama I enjoyed it. But there wasn't enough emotional connection between them until the last two chapters. It felt like the only reason they wanted to be with each other is because the other person is hot. For a while Canyon had more of a connection with Naomi than his boyfriend. And I was disappointed by the dads' reaction. Considering they were in that exact situation not too long ago I expected more empathy.

Wow! If you loved Wicked Lies Boys Tell, you’re going to want to devour Feuds and Reckless Fury. This book was absolutely fucking fantastic. I am still giddy after reading it.

Alister Sommers and Canyon Voss fathers’ are getting married.
For Canyon - “ The separation of his parents hit him hard. It turned his world upside down and spit him out. He’s disoriented and unsure where to go now.”
It created a lot of anger and hostile emotions and he wanted to utterly destroy his father’s life. And that started with becoming his father’s fiancé‘s son’s enemy.

This is a story of an openly gay artsy Alister not taking anyone’s crap, and that includes the football star Canyon who form an enemies to lovers relationship and learn how to love eachother and explore this new male/male relationship.
Canyon never admitted it to himself that he was possibly bisexual until he started forming a bond with Alister.
“ I might be bisexual, but I’m all sexual when it comes to Alis Sommers. He drives me crazy in the best possible ways. “

These two have the most fiercest and hottest chemistry I have read in a long time. The fact that they were both knew that having a relationship with another male, and the way that they explore each other‘s bodies, was so fucking hot. Holy crap! We know that K. Webster can write MM like no other but I feel like she really ramped it up in this book.

Both boys have drama is going on in their lives. Alis has the emotional trauma of his horrible childhood that ends up creeping back into his current life and we get a ton of drama and mystery with it.
And we have Canyon who is desperately trying to save his mother from going into a deep depression and falling into drugs after her husband left her for another man.

With school, their fathers getting married, their friends turning on them, sibling drama, and everything else - it all comes to a head.

This was such a beautiful romance. Despite all of the chaos in the background, I did not take away from these two boys love story. I thought it was beautiful and steamy as hell!

4.5 stars…

Idk where my first review went… I saw it when I put my other reading date in but now it’s gone.. joy.

Anyways, I don’t know what it is a K Websters high school mm romance but it is like my crack, something about it is so addictive that I cannot put it down.

Yes the main conflict was weird and I felt rushed at the end, but overall a very enjoyable read and will definitely do another reread when I’m feeling like reading a high school angsty book.

And Greg Boudreaux is a wizard with his magical narrations, Teddy Hamilton did a great job as well.

Ugh idk what it is but this was great the second time. I do feel like there were things like the conflict that could have been different or at least Colin could have been more of a character rather than just popping in at convenient times . That’s why it’s not a full 5 stars but still loved it!

Also every time Canyon called Alis, Wonderland I only thought of Taylor Swifts “Wonderland” lol

After his father leaves his mother for his best friend Canyon is hell bent on revenge, and what better way to make his father suffer than to take out that revenge on his best friend's son.
K Webster has written another amazing story that I couldn't get enough of and I hope she turns it into a series.
The characters and storyline were amazing and I wish I could give more than the 5*

Don't you just love when characters make stupid decisions for the sake of "plot"? Like
Spoiler opening the door to a killer, or leaving your loving family and boyfriend after a small fight, to live with an abusive drug lord
The third acts are always predictable these days, and ruin the book.

I enjoyed this book so much! Once again, K. Webster has killed it with the MM romance. I found parts of it to be similar to Hood River Rat, and also the ending felt a bit rushed, which is why this is 4 stars for me and not 5. But all in all, still an addicting read!

Both characters played the game well. I loved their competitive streaks. I love how both refused to bow down, even when for a while it was Canyon who seemed like the more likely winner of the two.

I enjoyed how many topics this book touched on: the first realization of being bisexual, trauma, abuse, family issues, divorce, and depression. Underneath what seems like merely a bully romance, there’s so much more going on!

5 Wonderland Stars
This story is a bit revenge fueled, a bit of enemies to lovers…it’s really more than that though!
It’s written so beautifully, fun and hot!
I adore Alis and Canyon so much!
The soon to be step-brothers start out on very rocky ground.
Canyon has a lot of resentment and that resentment/hate turns to lust and the lust to true friendship and more.
They are completely adorable together. I love the nerd/geek aspect and interactions. So cute and swoony to me.
An unexpected pairing that really works!
I love the forbidden/taboo nature of their relationship. It’s my favorite! I’m a sucker for taboo!
It’s full of secret rendezvous’ and a lot of push and pull.
There’s family drama from all sides that play an important part in the story.
Both main characters are struggling with major family issues that cause them both pain and fear.
It’s an emotional layer to the story that I loved!
There’s even a bit of a mystery and danger.
It’s such an enjoyable and sexy story!
I simply adore it!

I really enjoyed the first half of the book, especially the fights between Alister and Canyon. Their transition from 'enemies' to lovers felt too fast and sudden; too libido induced. I also feel like Alister's insecurities about being adopted could've been explored better, and that ending felt too rushed.
