I enjoyed the last third of this book. But if I'm being honest the beginning 2/3 was very slow. However I did not read the assassin's blade beforehand so that may have impacted my reading enjoyment. In general though Sarah Maas is an easy enjoyable read. I do plan to continue the series but I won't be devouring it like I have her other series.

This book lived up to the hype. Wow. Enthralled from the very beginning. I love the writing style very much, the characters (especially Celaena) are easy to connect with (people have told me not to get attached to characters so WHAT JOY…) and I’m just so excited to read these. Haven’t been this excited about a fantasy series since Harry Potter.
