Let’s start with tropes that I noted from this book, they include but may not be limited to…

What an enjoyable read! If you are into the #sweetverse like me, you will absolutely love Vera and her pack! This book nails completely my favorite thing about RH, which is when a character is written so well that I can clearly see their bond with the main character, as well as the rest of the group! Hopefully, part 2 has a lot more story to tell, because I don't want it to end!

thrilling!

This story sets a nice pace and throws in some very interesting turns along the way! I love the inclusivity of their budding pack, and the verge from traditional dynamics! I can’t wait to see where their journey takes them in the sequel!

So the good....Gus.. a non binary character done well and I commend the authors for the research they clearly did before writing this character.

The okay....everything else...the story just read a step above Wattpad....the pacing was very uneven somethings were thrown in your face making the characters seem like they had a bad case of word vomit while other questions were left unanswered the character development was just as uneven because of this.

This is Part One so we were left hanging ...not sure if I will continue.

The character development was a bit shallow, the editing was a bit lacking, and the book ended on a terrible cliffhanger, but I enjoyed the world and all the men and would re-read. I look forward to learning more about the FMC Vera's developing harem and who was the one harrassing her throughout this book. I have my suspicions that it's probably
Spoilerthe ex-Omega of the men since the stepfather James seemed to be written off as a suspect due to the methods.

Absolutely loved this one and cannot wait to read part two!

Vera is an omega who hates being an omega. She has a complicated past with her omega mother and her alpha mate. After an attempted SA by her coach, she relocates to Vegas to join a new professional soccer team. In Vegas, she meets Gus, the PR manager for her new team and an alpha. Although she's predisposed to me wary of alphas and steer clear of them, she can't deny the chemistry and attraction she feels towards Gus. When she meets the rest of Gus' pack, which includes the silver fox, Russion Sacha, shy Diego, and the already established couple Orson and Emory, she realizes she's attracted to all of them. Cue lots of dates, wooing, knotting, and more. The only thing standing in their way? Someone who's been following Vera, determined to ruin her life.

As with most omegaverse books, Vera and the Vegas V is packed with A+ praise and reassurance, very steamy group activities, and unique bonds between Vera and the pack. So good, such a quick read, and I'm so excited to read the second book.

***SPOILERS***

I did not finish this and I have no intention of reading it. It is just not my cup of tea. The main character seems to have a bunch of disdain for alphas and then she meets one alpha who smells good and suddenly she is nice to him and seems to trust him. I am only 7% through this book and I have decided to pass on continuing.

Overall, well-done book. I love a good omegaverse, and this one was a great way to spend the day. I really enjoyed Vera, she is someone who tells it like it is and the pack dynamics were fun to see. The story could use some smoothing in terms of plot though, more on that in a bit.

The characters were lovely, but I think there was a lot of self-disclosure for people who had just met. Meet someone and a few hours later, crying and telling them about some of your traumas seemed a bit much. There was definitely a lot of spice, and I loved the dynamics with the pack, especially Orson and Emory. I would’ve loved to get more backstory on all of the characters, but especially Vera as the main character. Towards the beginning, it felt very flat, like we don’t see much else but her family history, love for soccer, issues with alphas, and Becca her friend. I hope we get more of the other pack too, sometimes they fade into the background a bit.

In terms of plot, it seemed pretty obvious by the end of the book who the “bad guy” is, even though it ended on a cliffhanger. The book was overall good, but definitely could use some smoothing in terms of moving the plot along. There were just some points that didn’t get enough detail, and a lot of “telling” instead of “showing” things. For example, Vera is a soccer player, but we only get glimpses of her after practice but otherwise she could’ve had any job; for someone so passionate about their profession, that didn’t really come across.

I’m looking forward to seeing more of the pack in part two, and hopefully it will read a bit smoother because there is so much great potential with this story!
