A cute and fun omegaverse reverse harem. I can't wait to read part 2 to see where this series takes us!

When I posted about this one of the authors reached out to me to let me know this was written before they had an editor and that they have a lot of growth from part 1 to part 2, so I look forward to seeing that!

Holding off in a full review until I read part 2. The writing in part 1 is pretty rough- telling not showing to the extreme. Tons of inner monologue/thoughts of the characters to explain the plot rather than having it unfold. I heard part 2 is a big improvement in writing style so maybe there’s hope.
Definitely not in the same tier of storytelling as Lola and the Millionaires.

3.5/5 — rounded down

This book is a solid read—especially if you’re a fan of rh omegaverse. For me, it just didn’t reach the level that some of my favorites in this niche area did (Park Darling, Lilacs and Leather, etc). I really enjoyed the representation & how different each of the pack members were, but also how well the all came together as a unit. Kind of wish we got to see more of Vera’s life as a professional athlete—that may just be because I love sports tied into my romance!

All the characters felt two-dimensional and like the authors forgot they existed except for the group scenes.

to be completely honest, this book was just too fast burn for me. i’m definitely a slow burn kind of person. i only continued reading for Gus (we love non-binary representation!) but the others in the pack did start to grow on me. i’ll probably read the next book just because of the cliffhanger (and for more of Gus)

Soccer & Omegas

This was a super quick read. Loved the characters and all the dynamics between them. My favourite character so far is Sacha & I’m excited to see what happens in book 2!

I found the writing a bit wordy and rushed at times. It felt like there were lots of parts jumped over and every few chapters was a couple days or weeks in the future from the last. Then certain things / actions were overly described.

It pains me to leave a low star review for this book because I loved Heat Haven!

I wanted SOOO bad to love this series but I just couldn't. I will still read books by these authors, however.

Solid 4.5 in my book. This book was a such a sweet entry into the Omegaverse world- even I would dare say into the sweetverse area, even though not in that same world. It was a nice break from the bully/dark scene. If you're looking for a devoted cast of characters devoted to their Omega- and to watch that relationship ensue, then this is the book for you. There is a mystery story line parallel to the relationship development- where I was worried would collide and mess up the blooming relationship, but luckily didn't. It kept this book a feel-good book. I don't want to give too much away. This is the first book for me where one of the established pack was non-binary- it added an interesting layer and dynamic.

If you like the book Pack Darling, this book is kind of everything squishy that PD isn't yet. I was kind of waiting for the shoe to drop and then to be frustrated, but was pleasantly surprised that it remained squishy, even when there was some conflict. Sorry, I have to be vague without giving stuff away! Worth a read!
