It was a sweet book, it had all the elements to make it one. Dealing with grief, meeting a man, falling in love, changing over the years. It had that mystery of a touch of magic coming to you when you need it most, believing that there is a fate and that it will intervene. The characters were lovely, said all the right things, developed in all the right ways. Really a sweet, sweet book, tickled all the right heart strings. I guess the real review is in what I'm not saying. A lovely read.

3.75 stars if we’re being honest! think the lake house movie with beautiful prose on the definition of love through food. this was my first ashley poston novel and suffice to say this is a good start to a promising relationship between her books and i. this read more as women’s fiction with romance imo as we also see clementine deal with grief and taking big risks in pursuit of her “one big dream” as major plot points. it also helped that i pictured carmy from the bear as iwan in my head!
