I'm possibly in the minority for this as it's so positively reviewed. It's an adorable book with a unique premise, in terms of modern romance novels at least. An apartment that sends you back in time, 7 years to be exact! Hijinks and romance to follow! And I did find that it had more heart than many other books in this genre. It deals with grief and loss, the confusion of growing up and fear of change. And I thought a lot of those topics were dealt with kindly. It was just the rest of the book that felt a bit hollow. It was an extreme case of 'insta-love'
(I'm so sorry, but a quick, countable-day long summer romance does not feel intense enough, regardless the circumstances, to warrant pining for seven years AND GETTING TATTOOED OVER. I just don't buy it, no matter how well he cooks.)
. The friendships and familial relationships felt too one note, all of the obstacles were seemingly overcome by a single action or decision and much of the strife was just a result of lack of communication. The constant descriptions of Iwan's eyes and hair were just about enough to send me over the edge though. But I guess nice ginger & gray-eyed representation?

It was fine, super easy to read and it was fun. Nothing groundbreaking, but pleasant enough!

Did not expect to like or even love this book because popular books or any sort of fantasy aren't my thing but I loved it! I wanted the apartment to keep going back in time.

I definitely enjoyed reading this book. More than other romance books I've read, (excluding em hen and Kate Clayborn) I think this would probably be my favorite romance book I've read. That being said, I think I've officially decided that the romance genre is maybe not for me....😔😔 I need a slow burn.
