His mouth brushed my earlobe, a searing flutter-weight pressure. “I love you.” His voice was straightforward, affectionate. “You make me remember who I used to be. You make me want to be that man again. Right now, holding you, I feel like we have a shot at beating all odds and making it together. I’m yours, if you’l have me.”
Silence the third book in Becca Fitzpatrick's Hush, Hush Series is by far the best yet. I enjoyed it quite a bit, it was by no means perfect and there was a few things that annoyed me but I'll talk about the good things first.
This book picks up not long after Crescendo ended. Patch and Nora have been confronted by Hank Miller and for a little insurance to make sure Patch does what he wants, he's taking Nora hostage. It had been a while since I read the last book so I was a bit hazy on the specifics but I think that was for the better. Nora finds herself lying in a cemetery one night and has no idea how she got there nor can she remember the last 5 months. So I got to re-live everything along with her which made this story all the more exciting.
I knew it was absurd to think a color could come to life, but once or twice, I was sure I’d caught a flash of something more substantial behind the color. A pair of eyes. The way they studied me cut to the heart.
Patch is his wonderfully broody self, I would have liked for more Patch and Nora time at the beginning half but the end half mostly made up for it. I felt so sorry for Nora, her emotions are all over the place in this book...well more than normal. She struggles to remember anything but draws up a blank, it doesn't help that everyone around her is lying to some degree. There was two people I really disliked in this book, Nora's mother and Vee. The reasons for this are mainly due to them withholding information. Her mother I can understand to 'some' extent due to the mind-tricks, but it annoyed me when her mother decided to go on dates only a few days after her daughter had been found. If that was my child I would be sticking to her like glue, but like I said it was hard to determine what actions she made were forced upon her. Vee annoyed me to no end, I've always loved her in previous books and she's been a great friend but I couldn't stand her in this book. (I would imagine most Hush, Hush fans will be angry with my rant, but we're all entitled to our opinions.)
This time he gathered me into his arms, stroking hair off my face, and something inside me broke at his touch. Hot, wet tears tumbled down my cheeks. “If I lose you, I lose everything,” he murmured.
So after the rant on my issues for this book I do have to point out the good things. Patch and Nora have come a long way since book one, as individuals and a couple and to me book three took their relationship to new levels. Their trust was tested yet again, mostly due to the memory loss and after reading Silence I'm pretty sure nothing could tear them apart. So like I said, definitely the best book in the series, thankfully it didn't really end on a hard-core cliffhanger, I got the sense that it's the calm before the storm. I'm interested to see how book four is going to handle the new issues that have come up.

4 stars because I really didn't expect Ms. Fitzpatrick would do this Nora-has-amnesia twist well.
Because for once, the prologue actually needed to be there.
Because Norafinally grew a backbone.
Because for the first time, the plot wasn't predictable and I didn't see Nora.
Because I started liking Scott.
And finally, because this is such an amazing page-turner you have to read it.
May come later for a lot longer review like with the previous books, but this is it for now.

3.5 ⭐️. I really enjoyed the second half of this book. The first half was the usual status quo: Nora being unbearably annoying, and all over the place with her inner monologue. I really wish these books weren’t YA. I think they have so much potential to be bigger. But alas here we are.
Remonta un poco este tercer libro pero tambien fue un poco estresante todo el tema de su padre, Patch y los otros.

The first two books were good, but this wasn't. Maybe I'm jaded because I've been reading a lot of books where the girl has memory-loss...I don't know. But I felt frustrated with Nora and even Patch with this book. I was hoping this was going to be the last but apparently there is going to be another one.. yay.... *sigh*
probably the most irritating book out of the series so I gave it 3 stars
If there is one thing I like about an author, it is the way a book can be a fast paced action book that keeps you flipping pages to find out what happens, yet can also have elements of romance, comedy, and suspense. I think the author does a good job of that in this book. I also think she did a good job of the romantic tension between Nora and Patch. Patch is written as a character that I read very sparingly--one that doesn't talk very much, but you can't help but be drawn to him anyway.
I liked the plot of this book, and how the author took a fresh route on a book that was third in the series by giving the main character amnesia. When I read that on the book jacket, at first I thought...lame, but it actually turned out to be interesting, almost like Nora was getting a second start for a while. I'm kind of over the whole "I'm crazy in love with you for whatever reason and will give my life for you blah blah" but hey its Young Adult and that's what's being marketed for this age group I guess. I must say, though, this whole book series has kind of eerily reminded me of twilight, but with a different twist.
That being said, I haven't read the other two books in a long time, so I couldn't really remember a lot of what happened before this one. When Nora questioned who a certain character was, which clearly the reader was supposed to already know, I found myself saying "who indeed" also because I couldn't remember! lol I am excited to read the final book and see how all this is wrapped up.
