ummmmm this was alright. I'm going to be honest I was bored like the whole time it only got interesting at the end and I don't care. it was fine idk what to say. the last 2 chapters were the only interesting part and like that little romance was cute and all but idc. I wanted a murder mystery guys where was the murder mystery??? oh and like all their storylines were nice and all but I feel like we glossed too easily over Simon like he's actually insane y'all idk. ummm would not read again but wasn't like a total water of my time.

I ended up liking this book more that I thought I would. I read it because I want to have more recommendations for my students and found myself enjoying the mystery. I did predict the ending about halfway through which was a little disappointing, but I loved how the author actually made the character’s inner monologues fairly unique. One of my favourite choices she made was how self aware some of them were compared to others. Still not super complex or deep, nor did it leave me thinking, but a fun read I will be recommending to students. Especially those who “don’t like reading”.

Read if you like: Outer Banks, 13 Reasons Why, Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, Hush Hush, Gossip Girl, Riverdale before it got bad.

I found this book to be good but a bit predictable. Halfway through I had guesses what happened, but it didn’t take away from the page turning reveal at the end. This is definitely and easy quick read, the characters are well developed and like able and would recommend to anyone! It’s a great mixture of adolescence, love and thrill.
