This wasn’t for me. The story became increasingly ridiculous to me and I just was not interested enough in the characters or their hunt for the “holy grail”. Struggled through the majority of this book. I found the writing pretty weak and scoffed aloud at some points.
I also found the weaving of fact and fiction incredibly frustrating as I kept thinking “wow! Really?” at information presented alongside historical fact and presented as if it was also factual, only to find it was completely false after some quick research.

historical slay I suppose

Another great book with a great character, Robert Langdon. I love how Dan Brown incorporates strong, intelligent women who are present for purposes other than serving the man or being the man's love interest. I love the character depth shown throughout Brown's books. This book, after reading Angels and Demons, had a somewhat "predictable" ending, contrary to that of Angels and Demons. There were still unexpected twists and turns, but I feel like the ending was not as shocking as Brown's first Robert Langdon book. Otherwise, a wonderful read - I highly recommend it!!

This book offers a grand tour of Europe, the symbolism of the church and how religion affects the world.

What a book! Hard to put down once you start reading. I realize that there is a lot of artistic license taken with this book but there are also certainly a lot of interesting points that line up with some of my #SelfTaughtReligion. I will be reading the others in the series. Highly recommend.
adventurous mysterious fast-paced

I once owned a copy in hardcover form, and stupidly let someone borrow it who I knew in my heart of hearts wouldn't return it. LOVED this book, even more so with its interaction. On Dan Brown's website he has several "Web Quests" that can only be completed with the book in hand. At one point in time I was convinced I was going to be the next Robert Langdon, that is how much I was influenced and carried away. I would take the journey all over again!

Yeah it was a trendy bestseller but I think I read the entire book in a day or two. Page turner! And quite heretical! 😏

I’m not really sure what all the hubbub is about.
I found this to be a great little adventure story with some great twists.

Don’t see the movie… it sucked.

I can't really say I read this book. I got to the second chapter before all of nonsense and misleading "facts" about history/arhaeology got to me. What can I say--I am a skeptic!
