This book was fun and very immersive. I didn’t want to put it down! I loved the illustrations as well. More books should have these. The main character was clumsy in a likeable way that made the reader empathize with her. Very good I loved!!!!!!

This book was so fun and light and lovely.
Now it- definitely isn’t perfect and the dialogue is a bit stilted at times but I consumed this book in two days and I let it’s joy infect me. I will 100% be reading the second book because I am so at peace reading these.
It’s easy to flow through, the magic system is simple and easy, and it’s broad enough that I can accept whatever happens without having to suspend my beliefs.
Now, the middle to act 3 of this book did throw me for a loop and I wasn’t quite expecting the level of horrible that happened- but we made it though, it was fine. We managed.
And ohohoho we had such a nice little romance build through here. Such a fun adventure and care and it ended with a nice little bow. She doesn't need a man but maybe this one will do. Lovely.

Finished this in two days! I loved it. It was entertaining with very likande characters. I didn’t expect much writing wise cuz it’s a young author and the first book. But if anyone is going to judge this authors first book i’m going to throw hands. It was lovely and just my cup of tea. I saw no faults with it and just loved it. Great pacing too, i was never bored. I loved the banter between the characters and just overall the witchy stuff. Can’t wait for the sequel. I need to see more of ashland Amarante<3

sappy and cute, 12 year old me would have devoured this, rated it five stars and displayed it on her bookshelf for all to see.
