I have reached a point in my life where I will read anything Rick Riordan writes. Seriously. he could write Twilight fanfiction tomorrow and I would not hesitate to read it.
Anyway that aside, let's look at the Hammer of Thor. it picks up right where The Sword of Summer left off. Magnus Chase is now exploring the 9 worlds trying to keep tabs on his friends and making sure Ragnorak gets as delayed as much as possible.
It is during this time when he given the task of finding the missing Hammer of Thor and prevent giants destroying Midgard. The team has the usual members with the exception of the latest addition; Alex Ferro. Alex Ferro was an interesting character and Rick Riordan worked hard to make Alex as real as possible. Thumbs up for always switching the pronouns to match Alex's gender.
Overall it was a good read. Rick Riordan uses his winning formula of humor, lots of adventure and unforgettable characters.
