I love it, but it's not my favourite in the series
Historic pulls for the New England enthusiasts (Boston, the whites, the Taco Bell off I-95 outside Manchester)
very good
I love Alex with my entire heart and soul.
I love Alex with my entire heart and soul.
I will say the same thing I said about the first one...
I really enjoy Rick Riordan's writing style even as a 21 year old, however, I am not nearly as interested in Norse mythology as I am in Greek mythology. It's really not the books fault, but I have been obsessed with Greek Mythology since I was 8, waaaayy before Rick Riordan published his first Percy Jackson book, and my love of Greek mythology is part of why I so enjoy the Percy Jackson books. I do not feel the same way about Norse mythology. For some reason I also wasn't as invested in the characters, none really grabbed ahold of me (although I do appreciate the diversity). All in all, I liked it better than the Egyptian books, but worse than both of the Percy Jackson series'.
I am excited to read the third one and I have grown more fond of the characters, but I still prefer Percy, Annabeth, Grover, Nico, Thalia and even Leo, Piper, Jason, Hazel and Frank. And I definitely prefer the Greek and Roman Gods to the Norse Gods.
