I didn't care for this one as much as her first book, which was mentioned in this one every other page. At one point I thought I reading a commercial for her first book. I also thought she talked about her captors to much. Why give them the time of day???

I’m very sympathetic to all she went through. But this book was just her doing normal stuff. Read like a blog post.

It was a hard read sometimes due to Jaycee mentioning moments where she was kidnapped and discussing her trauma to the reader. It was a solid book
Resiliency
Very I interesting to compare and contrast her recovery with Elizabeth Smart's. I appreciate her passion to eliminate the name Stockholm Syndrome. It doesn't make sense and clearly doesn't fit what she described she felt. This book made me see that not matter how bad things are a human is very resilient if they choose to be happy.

As a stand alone I wouldn't recommend, but it a nice follow up to her first (admittedly far more interesting) memoir.
