Easy book to read, but in retrospective, I do not remember the tales in the book. It didn't stick. I did enjoy it.

My rating - Three Stars.
I found is book okay read but I was little bit disappointed by is book and I think people who like the gospel of loki by Joanne M. Harris may like is book. The cover of book simple but stunning and I really enjoyed the mythology of the book. The writing was okay and the writing was very easy follow also the ending was okay. The atmosphere was okay but bit bland. The paced of plot was well structured and steady paced. The characters was okay and they needed most them well flash out.

Yes I am a fan of Gaiman. I may not LOVE everything he writes, but I admire and respect it ALL. I LOVE some of his stuff and just really like the rest. (At least of what I have read, which isn't everything!) Concerning this particular book, i really, really like it. I may even love it once I read the printed word.

For this edition, I listened to Gaiman's narration and I have no complaints about the way he reads - his narrations are just more evidence of his talent - however, it seemed geared more to a younger audience which I wasn't expecting. I don't know if I got that feeling from the way he read it or if the book really is targeting teens.

I am still enamored with my fresh exposure to Norse mythology, still don't know how I've missed reading it all these years, but I definitely see traces of this mythology in many things I have read or been involved with (GOT, WoW, etc.).

Gaiman's rendition is easy to understand and easy to become interested in. Thor, Odin, Loki and the others tend to make sense - as much as 'gods' can. The information about Ragnarok is quite scary and I was amazed to read that the mythology still predicts Ragnarok in the future instead of something that already occurred....

I particularly liked the stories involving the creation of Thor's hammer and the fortification of Asgard. I am still eager to read more books on the subject.

Basically 100% what you'd expect. It's delightful :)

A solid book on Norse mythology but dragged in some chapters that weren't as interesting as some of the others. Those that did work for me were really good and I especially enjoyed the story and message of the Ragnarok story.
