How do you rate a biography? My four stars do not say anything about her story, but more about how it's written and what is included by choice.

Malala is without doubt a girl that deserves respect. It is surreal and sometimes felt like fiction, because I have never tried to live anywhere near war. I do not know if the people experience war experience it the same way Malala did. All I know that this book has illustrated a picture of how it is to fight for equal rights - in this case educational rights.

The first part of the book was quite rough to get through, because it is basically about Pakistans history. But the rest of the book is enlightening and worth reading.

I read this book in Danish.

I read this book and high school and it was amazing. It was incredibly eye opening and I recommend everyone read this true story of Malala.

A powerful story by a powerful woman. I’m so impressed by Malala’s faith, maturity, and love even in spite of the horrors that she’s lived through. That she still remains a true advocate for her country, education, and women as a whole and uses her voice and experiences so selflessly for others is so inspiring and moving. I learned so much from this book.

This young woman has taught me so much about Islamic culture and life in Pakistan, but what I find most valuable in reading this book is how much she values education. The right to an education is something so easily taken for granted in America, and this book is an inspiring reminder of grateful we should be. Everyone should read this book.

This was a really interesting book. I gave it only 3 stars because although I think very highly of Malala herself, the writing is just average. Still definitely worth reading!

Mycket bra och lärorik bok om framför allt Pakistans kultur och historia. Malala är otroligt klok och hennes starka vilja lyser igenom hela boken.

So much to unpack here! It's crazy to think everything here happened before she was even 16!
