As my friend Mia said while listening to the book: “Dude I am having issues listening to this man dig something out of his balls.”

Really enjoyed this one. Good story, incredibly detailed (perhaps a bit gruesome at times) and a good ending.

My only complaint is some shoddy dialog amongst the scientists and a few leaps of knowledge on their part that are implausible and clearly just expository.

Good sci-fi type thriller.

Yawn.

This had an interesting twist on a "pandemic". I liked the story, the characters, and the pacing, but I'm not sure I'll continue the series because the body horror in this was pretty gross!

took me ages to read. I just couldn't get into it.

An amazing and disturbing book! A very interesting concept. Not for those who have a weak stomach.

I really liked this book. The only reason it lost one star was because the "icky" factor was really high. I don't have a weak stomach, but this book is definitely not for those that do.

I enjoyed this book! It was pretty graphic, and a bit gruesome, but that's kind of what I'm looking for when reading horror sci-fi. I didn't think it was necessary for Dew to be homophobic and xenophobic, and I found many of the depictions of female characters to be unfavorable. These elements really took me away from the book, but the storyline was good! I'll definitely take a stab at the sequel, but I don't know how far I'll make it if it also has unnecessary lesbian bashing and slurs. Maybe it was for "character building," but yuck.
