Oscar Wilde prezinta o lume unde un print a fost mereu fericit, insa supusii lui niciodata nu au fost fericiti. Acum, ca o statuie in fata orasului, printul poate observa tristetea supusilor. Randulelul ii sare in ajutor la timp, astfel printul se bazeaza pe el ca sa ii ajute pe cetatenii oraselului. Finalul este, de asemenea, semnificativ pentru invatatura pe care autorul isi doreste sa o transmite cititorului. O povestire destul de scurta in care cineva poate invata despre puterea bunatatii, insa nu stiu cat de mult a fost pe gustul meu. A fost ciudatica, dar nu foarte, as putea spune ca a fost ok, dar cam atat.
