Weird but good.

Confess reminds me of a lot of books I’ve read throughout the years. The two main characters were interesting but they did end up annoying me a lot throughout the book. I thought it was weird what Lucian was doing in the beginning. Like making her clean or teaching her a lesson. They are both grown ass adults so I just didn’t see the point. If she wants to act like a spoiled brat then let her.

The sexual tension was there and it was great. Things moved a little too slowly for me but when they did - I was happy. They were cute and you could obviously tell that they were developing those pesky feelings. Even though I’m done with this book and the characters were okay - I honestly didn’t have a favorite. No idea if that was even possibly for me because of the numerous times they annoyed me

Overall, I hate cliffhangers. This ending was ugh and I guess I’ll dive into the next one.

Confess was Fu*king Phenomenal! It was Everything!! First let me start off with I absolutely love this author she always gives a engaging story start to finish and Confess is no different! Nothing could have have prepared me for the impact of this read! It was exciting and addictive, the storyline swallows you whole and just when you think your finding ground zavarelli rips it out from under you! Gypsy was smart and conniving but she didn’t stand a chance once Lucian set her in his sites! Buckle up buttercup because you’re in for a thrilling ride! Lucian is Everything! I never thought my #1 book boyfriend could ever be topped but step aside Lachlan Crow, I have a new Man in my life and his name is Lucian West! I hated him and then Loved him and his Darkness! I swallowed his pain and wanted to save him! I definitely never anticipated being hit as hard as I was in the feels. This book just ruined me! I cried to the point I had to but my kindle down and collect myself. And it took a lot of effort, dam* you and your gut punches Ashleigh! Like seriously, I didn’t think I was going to make it! I loved all the characters and can’t wait to see what happens next in this series! Read it! Confess has easily made the best book of the year for me! I seriously have no idea what I’m supposed to do with my life now. I’m not going to let this story go anytime soon! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Nope, this doesn‘t feel right at all. It feels like he plays her daddy and my stomach hurts reading this… there were things that felt so kinky - but in a bad way… don‘t understand the rating at all!

Confess by A. Zavarelli is a marriage of inconvenience romantic suspense that I listened to on audio narrated by Tracy Marks and Aaron Shedlock.

This is the first book in the Sin City Salvation series and each book can be read as a standalone.

This is the first book of A. Zavarelli's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. I was pulled in from the very chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the push and pull between Gypsy and Lucian.

I can't wait do dive into the next book in the series Convict so I can get Birdie and Ace's story.

Tracy and Aaron did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would highly recommend this book if you love romantic suspense, marriage of inconvenience, or age gap romances.

This book. This story. This...this is a hard review to write. Because I absolutely adored Confess, but I don't want to give anything away. I want everyone who reads it to be able to go on the same journey I went on, to go through all of it and not know what would happen next. This author really outdid herself with this story. I love all of her books, but this is for sure my new favorite. I couldn't put this book down.

Gypsy is a con artist. She uses her looks to lure unsuspecting guys in and then blackmails them for money. She gets the dirt on them and uses it against them all while looking all sweet and innocent. And why shouldn't she? She kind of feels like the universe owes her for what she and her sister have been through. Her sister whom she would do anything for. Her sister who she has been looking out for and taking care of forever. And men are all the same - good for nothing but a payday. And they all see Gypsy and her good looks and don't even notice that she is playing them until it is too late. All men that is except Lucian.

Lucian was an interesting read. I loved that we don't really know what is going on with him and why he intrudes into Gypsy's life. He definitely has some secrets and man when they came out my heart hurt for him. I got it, but man. He has not had it easy himself. He is a great lawyer who everyone thinks is this heartless horrible person because he defends murderers and such, but he is really such a great guy. He would do anything to help someone who needs him because he understands. And he does not fall for Gypsy's tricks. When he gets involved with her he doesn't think it will ever turn into anything. That is not the plan. The plan is just to help her be a better person, but of course things don't always work the way you think they will.

These two were amazing together. Gypsy does have a bit of a spoiled brat attitude at first and Lucian is kind of like a parent with her, but they also have that connection. That thing between them that neither wanted, but they can't dismiss it either. Plus once you find out everything that is going on, all of Lucian's secrets, it was like I was reading as fast as I could because I couldn't wait to see what happened, but also trying to read slower because I wanted it to last. I absolutely loved how everything played out. When you get to know these characters you just want nothing but the best for them and all you can do is go one day at a time and hope everything works out. Oh, this story was amazing. If you have read this author before then you are in for a treat. If she is new to you this is a great place to start. Because Lucian and Gypsy are everything.

** CONTAINS SPOILERS*
I had mixed feelings about this read.

Going in blind, the writing was perfect and the plot was pretty interesting. It didn't go as I expected it too and some parts honestly left me like wtf
Spoiler( when we learned how he found out her secret)
but I'm not one to DNF and the writting is what kept me going. The hero was eh. He pissed me off towards the end
Spoiler( faking his death then believing she was trying to kill him and was after his money)
I mean come on! You don't get to blackmail someone, get them to fall in love with you, fake your death then come back and blame her when she's 8 months pregnant and is about to have your child!!!! He was an asshole peridt!

Wow I definitely wasn't expecting this story! I've read this author's books before and loved them, but this one was different. This was an emotional story from beginning to end. Zavarelli gives readers a strong independent heroine, a protective alpha, and supporting characters who will definitely pique readers interest. Confess is tragically beautifully story that will steal your heart. I'm so excited to see how A. Zavarelli plans to continue this series!
