This is my first book by the author and I will try some other time, although this one was just fine.
It was a quick enough read, although quite uncomfortable especially as a Mum to a son myself. What would any of us do in this situation?
I will definitely try something else by the author.

3.5⭐️ This story starts out kind of annoying with parents constantly worried about their child being bullied. It’s told from 2 POVs Sara and Guy who are Jacob’s parents. I felt the beginning was a little slow but it picked up at the end. I was curious to see who was the killer. The ending felt a little rushed wrapping up within a few pages of a diary entry. But it did provide the closure I was hoping for.

Daniel Hurst has quickly become one of my favourite authors and this new book does not disappoint. It follows two parents whose love for their son leaves them considering some very dark options on how to deal with a school bully and the impact will be even darker than they could ever imagine. How far would you go to protect your child.
*Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for providing this book, with my honest review below*
Daniel Hurst has always written great thrillers, and while I loved the concept of revenge on those who deserve it, this one got a little boiler plate for me.
Sara and Guy love their children and when their son, Jacob, isn’t himself they get sucked into the extremes of parental protectiveness. The book has a great twist that I didn’t see coming, but the rest of it read as pretty standard. Perhaps it’s because it hits on some buttons a parent has experienced, but, if given the option I don’t know if they would go down quite the same path. I enjoy Daniel Hurst’s novels but I like when he surprised me throughout and I didn’t get that here, and it didn’t have enough nuance to set it apart in subject matter.
Thank you again for the ARC, Bookouture. I appreciate it and the opportunity to share my feedback.

"The Couple's Revenge" by Daniel Hurst was a quick and engaging 5-star read. Having thoroughly enjoyed The Doctor's Wife series, I was excited to find "The Couple's Revenge" available on NetGalley. The story unfolds through two perspectives – Sara and Guy, the mother and father of Jacob.
Both parents sense that something is amiss when Jacob comes home from school and hides in his room. Despite Jacob's denials, Sara and Guy discover that he's being bullied at school. Their attempt to address the issue with the bully's parents only worsens the situation. Now faced with the challenge of ensuring Jacob's safety outside the house, the couple navigates through unexpected twists and turns.
The story is filled with suspense, keeping me guessing throughout. If you're a fan of Daniel Hurst's other books, I highly recommend picking up this one.
I want to express my gratitude to Bookouture, Daniel Hurst, and NetGalley for providing me with the opportunity to delve into this ARC and share my honest review

I have some of the authors books saved to read but have not read yet, so when I saw this as an ARC I jumped on it.
I will say, this wasn't my favorite. I do hope that his other works are more intriguing.
I'd say this was an average read for me, at times it dragged and some of the events weren't always that believable.
Overall I would read this author again.
