I found this book very slow and boring. Predictable. I've read Daniel Hurst before and like it but this one seemed so unrealistic.
There was plenty of DNA on the body. Amber would have shown up on cctv. Why didn't the police ask where the car was and why did he sell it?? The concept of the ropes was really dumb. He was worried they'd check who bought that kind of rope but he sold his car to some random guy and didn't that would come back and bite him in the ass?? Infuriating!!

I thought this was gonna be a mid read when I first picked it up but it actually wasn’t. It kept me on my toes and had me stressed. Most of my predictions were wrong

I was a bit torn with this one. On the one hand, I felt how horrifying bullying affected this family. This family was a loving family of 4 with a wonderful life until this 15 year old child bullied and thoroughly beat their son up.
On the other hand, I was interested to see how the judicial system handled this situation before things were taken into other people’s hands. Although, the parents were told there was a possibility this kid could get off with only slap on the wrist... so, I can see where this would have felt like the only answer. Not just for the safety of their own son but also for the safety of any other person this brute came into contact with.
It was a very thought-provoking read for sure.

This was a quick read for me. I was shocked in the end, as I usually am with a good thriller! I have been enjoying Daniel Hurst books a lot lately. This one did not have as much excitement and thrill, for me. All in all it was a good book.
