i mean, it's quite alright. i like the concept, the setting, the references to art, and the research that clearly went into writing this. i struggled with the style because i felt like it didn't fit the time period of the story, especially when it comes to dialogue. i also couldn't connect with the characters for some reason. i feel like the concept is much better than the characters which is a shame because that's not what i wanted out of this novel. overall pretty neutral about it.

I usually don’t like books that end where it’s revealed the character “wrote” the book you’re reading.

But the book idea coming from your ghost mother is just a whole other level of wrong and unnecessary.

I really struggled to finish this.
