insane but entertaining— like it literally starts with a plane crash and then it’s barely addressed after the first couple chapters

This is easily one of the most cringe worthy books I have ever read and not in a good way. I should have DNF’d it but it was like a train wreck (plane crash?) that I couldn’t look away from.

Rory met Max on the flight from NYC to Vancouver. Max did his best to console Rory during the plane crash. When they meet again in Vancouver, Rory finds out that she was his boss.

Meh. The writing was not great (same as this review), Rory was way too naive, and the plane crash was too unbelievable. It was on the audible plus catalogue and was good to keep me occupied while I was running errands. The plot twists were interesting, and I really liked Max by the end of the book.

i almost had to stop reading this at “lush nub” but i powered through anyway.

overall the book was good, there were just some things i thought were corny or maybe unnecessary. i also think i just didn’t really enjoy the writing style as much? idk

i wish this was dual POV bc i would die to know what Max was thinking, especially when he realized who Rory was. i also wish we had his POV so we could see how he interacted with his new team & how he was feeling when he was on the ice.

This was my first book from this author and I was pleasantly surprised. Typical,t if I download a book and it’s not dual pov, I usually won’t give it a chance. I decided to give this one a good and the beginning did hook me. I enjoyed both of the main characters but found some of the dialogue a little eh. I would read more from this author if there are dual povs.

This only gets 3 stars because I accidentally stayed up until 2am reading it. What an absolutely wild ride!
