This book was ok. Rory is returning to Vancouver where her dad owns and operates the city's hockey team. In order to go away to school, Rory agreed that she would intern under her father for one year. Max is an amazing player on the rank l, but has gotten into lots of trouble outside of playing. This is his last chance as he is transferred to the Vancouver team. This book had some completely over the top scenarios and characters. There are many characters in this book who are horrible to both Rory and Max and while it is later revealed why they are terrible to them, the dialogue and actions just seemed over the top. Also the main character's actions didn't seem completely coherent to me. Like Rory had no interest in interning with her father, but she is then a hockey manager genius. Or Rory's internal dialogue says one thing and then she does the complete opposite. This book just wasn't my favorite.

The last half of this book was insane

This was a really good read even though i figured out the bad guy and the secrets early in the story. Very solid book.

The characters could have been a bit more developed and the last 30% kind of felt like a hot mess but an enjoyable hot mess nevertheless.

This books is completely bananas and the last 25% goes completely off the rails but I could not stop reading it.

fun sexy read

I like this book. Started out a little slow and then got better but overall four-star. I will definitely read the next book in the series. Beware if you don’t want spice, this book bring it.
