Starting off with a plane crash, you know this book is going to have you in for a lot of drama. Rory and Max's dramatic first impression leads to a ONS and they both are unaware of the connection that they share. They didn't think they would ever see each other again but when they do, they discover that Max is one of the Wolves' new players and Rory is part of the coaching team. They go from friends to a fling to lovers. But they are completely forbidden. Not just because of the workplace relationship but because Rory's dad seems to hate Max. They have a lot to fight in order to be together. Everyone seems to want to cause trouble for them. A lot was unexpected and constantly kept me wanting to continue listening.

This takes the #1 spot as my least favorite audiobook. It is a single POV and the narration is done all by a female narrator using the most monotone voice. I started out actually liking the first 25% of the book, but then instead of actually developing the characters there was a ton of unnecessary drama and too many competing storylines. As the book progressed it became even more over the top and ridiculous. I also hated most of the side characters. Like you aren’t supposed to completely hate her parents and yet they are the literal worst.
Also the MMC is falsely accused of sexual assault which I hate. Including false sexual assault allegations only perpetuates the narrative that women who accuse athletes/celebrities of sexual assault are lying. And that is the last thing we need these days.
