This was a really good book and I did not figure out the bad guy which is unusual for me.  I always figure it out but T M Logan did a great job of throwing me off the trail.  I dropped the rating by a half star just due to my own difficulty with the  language difference. For me, being American, the usage of some of the English spoken in Europe was distracting. No fault of the author at all! I would recommend this read to those who like crime fiction, domestic fiction or psychological fiction.

I think I must be one of the last people to read some of T.M. Logan’s work and have seen so many people raving about them so when I saw the blog tour for this I had to jump at the chance to read one.

I wasn’t sure what to expect really but the premise of this book is that a stranger hands a baby to Ellen and asks her to protect her and to trust no one. I haven’t the foggiest what I’d do in this situation! Let alone if I was then followed off the train by some dodgy passenger and the note left by the mother specified not to trust the police.

There is so much pace in this book that it’s easy to get lost in the world but trying to figure out who the killer is was not easy. I had my suspicions, but then I think I suspected practically everyone at one point or another!

The book is really fast moving and so much action happens that you just want to keep on reading and try to uncover the truth. Who is Mia and why are so many people out to get her!

I was ready to give this book 5 stars but the ending did let it down a little bit for me, I felt it was a bit rushed and there were a few unanswered questions left. More out of my own curiosity though, the actual story was all explained and that.

I’ve not read this thinking that I must read more of this authors books but I would pick another one up if I saw one - which ones would people recommend?

Slow until page 290, then it became suspenseful.

A very quick read, fast paced.

Really enjoyable with good twists, although I did get a little confused about who some of the male characters were and why they were threatening Ellen
