The writing in this book is phenomenal. I wouldn't have been able to put it down, except that I had to in order to reflect on what I was feeling. This is perhaps the darkest story I've read, and I've read a lot of  post-apocalyptic novels. It's not due to the plot but because of the way the emotion is conveyed through words.

While the actual topic of the book is sort of lackluster and generic, the writing style is very intriguing. There is no shortage of imagery or emotion at any point- however, conversational passages can be difficult to understand. Additionally, the ending felt unexpectedly anticlimactic.
