Vraiment chouette, la galerie de personnages est passionnante. Mais cela se termine un peu trop rapidement à mon goût.

A fun read. I liked John Silver and his fatherly relationship with Jim.

It's a fun, quick read. The end happened a bit too fast for me, and everyone is a bit too christian.

How do you manage to make a book about pirates and buried treasure so boring? This book gets brought up a lot as the book that ruined reading for people forced to read it in middle school- I know I read it at some point but kinda forgot; how bad could it be? Well, pretty boring. I respect that it started the pirate genre and we wouldn't have classic stories like "Pirates of the Caribbean" or "Muppets Treasure Island" without it, but man the storytelling is rough. It's like the author himself even realized halfway through that the narrative being told through Jim Hawkins doesn't work, and has to awkwardly go "uhh, this next section is important to the plot, but Jim wasn't there so... I'm just gonna announce that this part is from someone else's perspective and then let's forget I ever did that!" Overall I was just disappointed, I really wanted to like this book.
