This was the best mystery! Seriously made me keep guessing and at the end I thought it was impossible. In the epilogue I understood how it all went down but it just felt unsatisfying since the answer was basically just leave out info. Overall it’s a must read

Now THIS is a murder mystery book. Although it does start off a bit slow and I needed to keep a sticky note of everyone's names, this book was a page turner. The style of the book is different from other murder mystery books I've read, as the crime is fully presented to you, and only explained after everything has gone down through an epilogue. However, the solution given is satisfactory, although I find it VERY improbable that someone could guess it before it is revealed.

Another amazing Agatha Christie book! 100% recommend!

I really appreciated this mystery, however, I’m a tab bummed because I read a book earlier this year that I know realize was based on this classic.  That kinda spoiled the plot for me.  There are many thoughts in this book that have not aged well.  And it always annoys me when a person claims to be able to tell innocence or guilt just by looking at a person - that has been proven to be a fallacy time and again.  It was an interesting tale and told with the author’s murderous charm.  Worth reading!  4 stars

My first Agatha Christie (on audio - great narration) did not disappoint. I was hanging on every word in suspense, although, admittedly some of this did not age well (e.g. calling someone a "Jew-boy").

The mystery/thriller elements of this book are very fun and creative and you can see why the locked room (or here, island) trope is so popular in the genre. BUT this book has some problematic elements that are not essential to the plot but very much detracted from my experience of the book—mostly racist comments and expressions that would not be acceptable today. Warning there are racial slurs present.
