Not gonna lie, I felt let down by this book. I still binged the heck out of it and enjoyed it overall but I feel it was repetitive and the big showdown towards the end was just anti-climactic. Everything was resolved much faster than I would've liked, we're talking in a few pages and that made it fall flat.
I also wish that the author had gone deeper with Nox's character development and with his relationship with Oleander. Instead, it feels like certain creative decisions were made to be able to have an MC with a dark past and yet not delve into it more than that - it felt brushed off.
As a series though, The Bonds That Tie is enjoyable, addictive and binge worthy.
Content warnings: Sexual content, death, violence, confinement, gore, blood, alcoholism, child abuse.
