I enjoyed reading this when I was about 14. It was funny and the voice of Becky Bloomwood draws you in the story (beware of second hand embarrassment), but when I reread it at a twenty-something, I suddenly found her annoying.
She lives in London on Fulham Road, and has a job as a journalist. Yeah it might be in a finance magazine, but it's a good career???
Becky Bloomwood has it good but she doesnt see it. And likE SHE cant STOP SPENDING MONey?! She becomes very annoying very quickly. Literally just cancel your credit cards and pay ya DEBTS you wet wipe.

This is a cute book. It was fun to read. I think everyone will see a little of themselves somewhere in this book.
Very easy read, and cute little story. I loved it.
I think I liked the book better than the movie. Now mind you I LOVED the movie and I own it and will watch it over and over and you get the picture but I really really liked the book a lot better.

Used to consider this a teen / YA book, but I realise it’s much more relatable now that I’m in my twenties.
A fun “guilty” read. A good pick for anyone who has felt the dopamine hit from making purchases, this book is a humorous way to approach the very real struggle of being addicted to shopping.
I thought this book was hilarious, entertaining and so much fun! It was a great laugh and it contains great wit. So much better then then movie! I was disappointed by how different the movie was...but oh well. Loved the book!
