A lot of my love for this book is based in my own childhood in the lakes of Ontario. And the purity of these kids talking about sex as though it's the first they've heard about it. They're navigating the world around them while everyone says they're too young but they're learning more and more behind closed doors. The horror movies is a great way to show that.
It's bittersweet and nostalgic.

i was kinda bored throughout the book even tho there were heavy situations unfolding throughout the story. i felt bad for her friend 😭idk i enjoyed roaming so i wanted to give this one a try but i was disinterested overall.

I find that I’m never blown away by a Tamaki work, and yet I can’t stop picking them up. I think I’m drawn to the artwork, which never ceases to be stellar.

A coming of age slice of life during one summer vacation.

I didn't really like this book. It was just sad and dark. Beautifully illustrated and very real but yikes. Should have been gay. The opposite of a feel good read.

Not super big on manga. Drawings were great. Storyline was blah teen summer angst. A couple instances of meaning trying to break through without really completing their thoughts.

A clear coming of age story. I felt like there was more to Windy than what we saw and I wanted to learn more about her and trepidation she showed throughout scenes.
There were a lot of heavy topics mentioned including miscarriages, sexual abuse, and infertility.
There is absolutely no closure for several of these stories but I think that’s the point as it stays true to life.
