As a lover of true crime podcast, this was right up my alley… and a very famous book in the community. It was fascinating to hear about Ted Bundy as a person and his crimes from someone who actually knew him. Ann’s accounts are fascinating to intake and it really does illustrate the duality of him.
I may listen to more of Ann Rule’s books, as the amount of detail into the crimes of people committing them. She is a very good crime writer for sure!

To the point. Not a lot of fluff or excess story, she is certainly a crime writer who found herself in an unfortunate situation. I can’t even imagine what being friends with a serial killer would do to a persons ability to trust the people in their lives.

This is the perfect example why I don't trust people. It doesn't matter if the person is a stranger, friend or family. You never truly know a person. You only know what they want to show you. Ted Bundy must have been really good at deceiving people or the people he deceived must have been extremely naive or both.

While this book was very well written, the subject matter weighed down the reading process. I'm glad I read it, but I will never read it again. Ted Bundy was a very sick individual because he knew what he was doing and he enjoyed it.
