This book was so good in a very simple manner. This reminds me of that rom-com Wimbledon with Kirsten Dunst and Paul Bettany. This book was a bit different but that off the charts chemistry is the same.
Tami was a hard working undiscovered tennis player and Bryce was a legacy player. I loved that she made him work to get a date with her as well as respecting her as a partner instead of a kept woman.
His family was incredibly classist but I suppose I would try to protect my kids from all perceived gold diggers if he was as famous as Bryce.

This is my favorite book by Nana Malone so far and I will continue this series next month.

New author to me Nana Malone makes this one new author for me to look out for.

This was a lovely little sports romance, rich famous tennis player, meets poor ex tennis player.

Bryce Coulter is a semi famous tennis player, he has had an injury and had to have an operation so he is not playing at the moment.
This doesn't stop his filly of bed mates though, his family name makes him just as attractive as he is!

Tami Ivey has had a bit of a rough time, she was at one point a professional tennis player, but gave this up to look after her sick, dying mother.

A couple of years later she also has another devastating blow, and finds herself dating a horrid man that treats her really badly.
So tennis helps her forget her life problems.

Bryce and Tami meet one evening while she is practicing, and he decides that she is the one for him, only she doesn't see it that way!

Doing all of the chasing, Bryce and Tami start dating, but it isn't without it's hurdles, and Bryce's family don't help either!

🎧🎧 Narrated by Sebastian York #SebYes and new to me narrator Traci Odom, who did a great job, Mr York is a narrator that i openly stalk on Audible, so this book was a no brainer for me, and the pair did a great job.

Crack out the strawberries and cream!

Fun story with a cute romance but really forgettable. I liked the tennis elements since I play tennis myself. Bryce was sweet but I was really annoyed by Tami because she was so reluctant to trust him and started fights for no reason. Bryce was willing to do anything for her and he completely trusted her, but Tami was super cautious because of her past, but then she all of a sudden became comfortable at the very end and completely lost all the trauma. Very unrealistic and I thought most of the characters were annoying.

Thoughts: Pretty good book, I did audio and felt that the narrator's were really great in giving these characters a voice that was true to the story. Enjoyed that despite the negative and rudeness of the grandpa this couple never gave up, and stayed true to their feelings.

I am a sucker for a good sports romance. It's one of my favorite tropes to read. I don't think I've ever read a tennis book before - and I loved it! This was also my first book by Nana! Can't wait to read more!!

My man Bryce stole the show in this story. To set the scene, he is a professional tennis player who gets injured at the peak of his career. When Tami meets him, he's in the middle of his recovery, just trying to find some semblance of normalcy. He swings by a random tennis court one day and is entranced by her as he watches her practice. He doesn't quite fall in love at first sight, but he defintely gets sprung!

Tami has long since given up her dream of becoming a professional tennis player, and is now just living her simple life. When she happens upon Bryce, the instalove isn't reciprocated because she's been burned before. I like how she fought against Bryce just enough to make it fun, but not so long that it became too much.

I loved their chemistry. It's a bit of opposites-attract rowdiness, but quickly becomes a cat-and-mouse story as Bryce pursues Tami.

The characters weren’t “lovable” but I didn’t hate them either. The worst was there were a few time jumps that really confused me for a moment the main one happening in chapter 31. I would still try her other books though.

Also I just realized the author is Black but idk if the heroine was tbh so maybe this was diverse.
