That was a book I guess. I had high hopes for this book, the concept sounded interesting, but god did it get boring and honestly kinda repetitive. The twist was predictable and by the last 1/2 to 1/3 I just wanted this book to be over. 

There were concepts and things I did like about it, I’ve definitely read worse. And I enjoyed the characters and atmosphere

The first third was solid but I found it gradually started to derail from there.

Personally I didn't understand Jane's plight to save her 'husband' considering they had know each other for such a ridiculously short time not to mention he was a super bland character.

Jane is likeable but I wasn't a huge fan of the detailed focus on the magic and rituals. I don't feel like this book did anything new.
