5 stars isn't enough!
I absolutely loved this book. I have so many highlights, had many feels and flails. I honestly don't think there will ever be another set of characters or series that will touch the epicness of Ty & Zane and the Cut & Run universe.

Ok so don’t freak out at the 3 star rating. I DID still enjoy this book. And if I just rated it on the last few pages, it would get all the stars in the world. But since it’s the whole book, I have to say that I liked it but didn’t love it. Now I still plan on writing just a mega review for the series as a whole when I finish. But since I did rate this one lower I wanted to share a few reasons.
1) Too much Nick and Kelly time. I do like the two, but I feel like they were way too central to this one and they took away from Ty and Zane time. After all the drama of the last book, I really wanted more time with my main guys and I didn’t get enough. So yeah. This got to me by the end. Also I was irritated that Nick and Kelly got engaged before Ty and Zane. What the heck??? Seriously???
2) The mystery was boring and convoluted and didn’t make sense. So I don’t care much about that part of the book because that’s not really why I read them but this one was a mess and I was over it.
3) Not enough hot Ty and Zane moments. I suffered through their angst issues in the last book so I was expecting lots of good scenes here. I needed more. Again I say if there had been less Nick and Kelly, there would have been room for this.
So that’s my complaining. I’ll repeat I did still like the book and the ending alone was amazing. As was Ty wooing Zane with proposals. But this book was not my favorite of the group.

Definitely the weakest book in the series, but I still enjoyed it. A couple of things bothered me like but that withstanding I still liked it enough to give it 4 stars, even though maybe it wasn't objectively a 4 star book for most folks...
Spoiler
Who exactly killed Burns??? And why wasn't Nick's father issues + surgery not saved for Sidewinders?!
Amazing book. This is part of one of the best m/m romance stories I have ever read. Must read. I love this series. This book was really good. I love Ty and Zane this was definately a great book.
I loved this addition to the series, you guys! Check out my non-spoilery thoughts on my blog. I'm gonna include some spoilery things here....
I'll be honest. I was worried about there being too much Nick & Kelly in this book. I adore them, and I was already on their bandwagon after finishing T&G before realizing other people were too! But still - this was supposed to be Ty & Zane's turn.
I realized a few things while I was reading, though. For one thing - Nick & Kelly ARE important. I mean, come on. There are very few people more important in Ty's world than his buddies. He and Nick have a lot of issues that need to be dealt with before Ty can "ride off into the sunset."
Also, the C&R series itself began - and will end - with that freaking drug cartel. The story arc of the series has always been headed there, plot-wise. But now, we also have the Sidewinder series offshoot. I feel pretty confident that Ty & Zane will be popping up there just as often as Nick & Kelly have popped up in the Cut & Run books. Those friendships run both ways!
Plus, there was still plenty of awesome Ty & Zane moments. There might not have been a lot of sexy moments - but let's take quality over quantity, shall we? I'll be happy to argue to the ground that the hottest scene yet was included in this installment.
Also: the proposals. Please, I swoon. I have spent a lot of time trying to decide what the best proposal for them would be - romantic, funny, off the cuff? I would like to give Abigail Roux one huge pat on the back for giving us ALL of those possibilities.
As for Nick & Kelly's proposal - that was a gorgeous scene. The contrast of the way they became engaged so quickly vs. Ty and Zane's situation was so great! Neither situation was better than the other, it just fit the different characters' personalities. (Part of me does wish it had taken place in their series instead though, I must admit.)
Anyway - bottom line? I loved this installment!

This is probably the lowest rated book in this series and I'm not sure why (I will have to read some reviews to get to the core of the matter). I absolutely love it!
Deuce, Ty's brother, is getting married in Scotland. Ty and Zane are of course invited, but at the request of Deuce they also take Nick and Kelly with them. Someone threatens to kidnap Deuce's daughter to use her to get secret information from her grandfather's company. The first corpse is found earlier than anyone would expect, followed by another one. Ty, Zane, Nick and Kelly must quickly find the murderer and not kill each other in the meantime. Especially since Nick and Ty have too many secrets between them.
Zane and Ty are finally working in a complete unison! I've been waiting for it for so long, through all these (sometimes really irrational) quarrels between them. It doesn't even bother me that Ty and Nick are arguing, there are too many secrets between them. I am also happy that despite everything, they try to explain everything and cooperate. It is very nice to see both couples together and happy.
The suspense part is really good with a lot of twists and turns. Although I have to admit that the corpses fall one after another, maybe even to exaggeration. The action is definitely fast. And the solution to the whole mystery is completely unexpected.
It is a pity that only one more book in the series has been left. Especially since it seems that Ty and Zane finally found a balance in their lives and relationship. I can not wait for the next book.

A ridiculous plot. Even by Roux's standards. I normally don't mind the mystery aspect of the Cut and Run books because they take a back seat usually. In this one though the characters were the ones taking the back seat. It read too much like a Sidewinder novel to me. Didn't feel like a Ty and Zane book.
I love that some questions were finally answered in this installment, but so sad there’s only one book in the series left!
