Książka była cudowna. Bardzo się w nią wciągnęłam i nie spodziewałam się że pójdzie w tym kierunku. Myślałam że będzie to raczej książka w której dziewczyna zakocha się w swoim 12 lat starszym sąsiedzie z dzieckiem. Będą się spotykać i postanowią ze razem wychowają chłopca. Koniec długo i szczęśliwe

To nie ten rodzaj książki. Nie była przewidywalna ani trochę. Jest tu wątek żałoby, przemocy, dojrzewania i radzenia sobie z traumami.
Bardzo mi się podobała tak samo jak i sami bohaterowie byli fajni. Uwielbiam małego Forresta słodki dzieciak. Thayer był gburowaty ale biło od niego światło i ogromna miłość. A Salem była pewna siebie i cierpliwa.
Polubiłam ich i jestem ciekawa jak ich wątki potoczą się w drugiej części

I loved this story. It drew me in right away and I did not want to put it down. I loved both of the main characters and instantly found myself rooting for them. I loved watching the journey between Thayer and Salem and the relationship that eventually developed.
I struggled with two things that happened but despite that, I still loved the story.
The cliffhanger at the end has me anxiously waiting for the next book because I do need to know what happens. I need to see where things go for them and how they are able to work through everything.

This book easily sucked me in and I really liked it... however I couldn't get past the age gap, it didn't feel right, almost forced. Plus there were many token lines that were repeated. But man the tragedy, I was sad for a good 2 hours after that.
